This year at Fenster we’re very excited to announce the following schedule of Special activities that will last throughout this year’s camp schedule.

  • Week 3: Taiko Drumming with Odaiko Sonora
  • Week 4: Earth and Pirate Week
  • Week 5: Puppet Making with Puppets Amongus
  • Week 6: Spirit Week, July 4th Celebration, & Animals from Reid Park Zoo
  • Week 7: Hip Hop with Anton Smith
  • Week 8: Capoeira with Anne Luar Pollack
  • Week 9: Summer Celebration

Your Dynamic Directors Return For 2012!

Shauna McGlamery returns for her sixth summer and Andy Bemis for his second summer as Camp Directors at the Fenster Hive.  Both Directors were born and raised in Tucson and are well connected to their community and have an intimate understanding and appreciation for children, nature and creative summer programming.  Shauna and Andy are excited to rejoice summer 2012 with you!

For 2012, Fenster Camp starts on Monday, May 28th. Even though it is Memorial Day we will be in operation. Looking forward to seeing you!

2012 Camp Dates and Registration

Registration is open to ALL starting March 1st.  As of now all 9 weeks are available for all 4 age groups.  Please continue to check back for availability.

  • Week 1: May 28 – June 1
  • Week 2: June 4 – 8
  • Week 3: June 11 – 15
  • Week 4: June 18 – 22
  • Week 5: June 25 – 29
  • Week 6: July 2 – 6
  • Week 7: July 9– 13
  • Week 8: July 16 – 20
  • Week 9: July 23 – 27

Shauna McGlamery is Queen Bee of her Fenster Ranch Summer Camp Hive

Shauna McGlamery returns for her fifth summer at camp and second summer as Camp Director. Born and raised in Tucson, Shauna is well connected to the community and has an intimate understanding and appreciation for children, Nature and creative summer programs. Shauna has proven to run a successful, loving and expressive hive and is excited to continue building a dynamic Fenster Ranch Summer Camp again this summer.

Our creative art program includes “Recycled Arts” theme activities throughout the summer. Help us out by putting aside some of your recycled or unwanted items for use at camp and sending it our way! The Art Queen thanks you in advance!

  • PAPER TOWEL AND TOILET PAPER ROLLS
  • PAPER BAGS
  • PLASTIC CONTAINERS (YOGURT, MARGERINE, ETC)
  • PLASTIC MILK JUGS
  • PLASTIC WATER/GATORADE BOTTLES
  • OLD CD’S
  • OLD TILES
  • PLATES
  • CROCKERY
  • SHELLS
  • FOUND OBJECTS (METAL, PLASTIC, ETC—ANTYHING TO MOSAIC)
  • BUTTONS, YARN, SCRAP MATERIAL, WOOD, OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU OR YOUR CHILD THINK THAT SOMEONE COULD CREATE SOMETHING OUT OF!
